Making Waves of Memories: Take a Kid Fishing Creates an Unforgettable Experience for Local Youth

This past weekend, thanks to the generosity of William Dunn and the Take a Kid Fishing Foundation, about 17 of our kids from local group homes had the incredible opportunity to head out on the open sea for a deep-sea fishing adventure they’ll never forget!

For many of these youth, it was their very first time seeing the ocean up close, feeling the salty breeze, and reeling in their own catch. The smiles, laughter, and excitement out on the water told the story better than words ever could.

Take a Kid Fishing has long been known for its commitment to giving children—especially those who have faced adversity—the chance to experience the joy, peace, and confidence that comes from a day spent fishing. Through their time and heart, William Dunn and his team continue to remind our kids that they are valued, supported, and worthy of making special memories just like any other child.
