National Adoption Month Family Spotlight: The Campogni Family

Today, we're honored to celebrate Curtis & Kristin Campogni, incredible parents to two beautiful children and fierce champions for keeping siblings together. Their unwavering commitment, patience, and advocacy ensured their kids could grow up side-by-side—sharing a home, a childhood, and a bond that will last a lifetime.

When we asked what first inspired them to consider adoption, their answer was as heartfelt as their journey:

“Our journey toward starting a family, like many others, had its ups and downs. In the end, we did not go searching for adoption. Adoption found us… When you have love to give, those who need it will find their way to you as long as you have faith, courage, and patience.”

Their path to parenthood began the moment their daughter came into their lives unexpectedly—a love-at-first-sight moment that later grew into a three-year journey, culminating in not just her adoption, but also the adoption of her little brother.

And when they officially became a forever family?

“In our minds, we already were. Becoming a forever family doesn’t start with a court order. It starts at that very first meeting and lasts for the rest of your life… We are blessed.”

💛 One of their favorite memories came on the day they finalized their son’s adoption—which also happened to be his birthday! While on a work trip in Tallahassee, they turned the milestone into a joyful family celebration filled with swimming, cake, nature adventures, and movies. It became their very first vacation as a family of four—simple, sweet, and unforgettable.

When asked to describe their adoption journey in one phrase, they chose:

“Both the hardest and most beautiful experience of our lives.”

And their advice for those considering adoption?

“Stay grounded in your ‘why.’ You’ll need it throughout the journey… Holding onto your purpose will carry you through every moment that matters most.”

To the Campogni family: thank you for opening your hearts and home—and for reminding us that love has a way of finding exactly where it belongs. 💙💛
