
Trainer - Field

Job Summary:
This is a professional training position responsible for the development and delivery of training activities, providing guidance and support to case managers and supervisors at the contracted Case Management Organizations (CMO) and ensuring the transfer of learning from the classroom to the field is demonstrated and practiced.
Essential Functions:

Establishes and maintains positive working relationship with HFC customers

Provide post pre-service field support to new trainees and supervisors at the designated CMO

Provide feedback to trainees, case managers and supervisors

Maintain documentation of field and classroom training as required

Provide assistance in safety plan and case plan development, judicial reviews, family functioning assessments, program updates, court related functions, staffing preparation

Conduct field/home visits and court hearings alongside the new trainees

Provide assistance within a variety of systems such as Florida Safe Families Network, Mindshare, Learning Management System, Random Moment Time Study system, and all other systems

Assess child welfare training strengths and needs for development of trainings

Provide in-service trainings, follow-up trainings and make-up trainings

Develop expertise on training related technology, techniques and presentation media

Ensure “best learning and training practices” are implemented and being utilized

Ensure continuous quality improvement throughout the system of care

Ensure compliance of training hours for all staff at the designated CMO
-
Track certifications and recertifications for staff at the designated CMO
-
Coordinate structured field days and shadowing opportunities for trainees while in preservice

Understand and maintain knowledge of the preservice curriculum to work with trainees

Streamline the Florida Certification Board preservice paperwork to ensure timely and accurate submission for trainees entering preservice

Perform special projects as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in social services or related field. Two to three years’ experience in child welfare. Must have an active child welfare certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree preferred.
