Job Summary:
This is a professional position responsible for training, level one (1) licensing and support of relatives and non-relatives in Polk, Highlands and Hardee counties.
Essential Functions:

Establish and maintain positive working relationship with HFC internal and external customers

Educating and bringing awareness to caregivers about the dependency system and licensing process

Assisting with paperwork, collecting documents as the caregiver begin to navigate in the licensing process

Maintain a caseload to offer support and provide services of available benefits for relative and non-relative caregivers (cash assistance, ESS, etc.)

Provide support, resources and referral information to caregivers for placement support and stability

Work with other departments collaboratively that will also be supporting caregivers

Lead and/or assist with support groups as needed

Ensure quality and timely documentation of work is completed with families

Participate with other peers in Florida on best practice and exchange opportunities

Offer ideas and suggestions to the team to further meet the needs of local caregivers

Perform special projects as assigned
Required Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Social Work or related field preferred. Experience as a caregiver (relative, non-relative, foster parent) highly preferred. Knowledge of community resources available and ACCESS Florida system/public assistance is also highly preferred.
