The Heartland for Children Heart Gallery was created to promote local adoption by sharing about the children who are currently available for adoption in Polk, Highlands and Hardee Counties. The mission of the Heart Gallery is to raise awareness about the need for adoptive families for our children, especially teens and sibling groups.

Due to recent legislation, HB1083, public access to the statewide adoption exchange platform is now limited to people who have completed or are about to complete adoptive home studies.
