
Case Management Support - Foster Home Licensing

Job Summary:
This is a professional position responsible for assisting the foster care training and licensing department with administrative and clerical support. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service to prospective families who inquire about becoming an adoptive and/or a foster parent in Circuit 10 and ensuring they are registered for the appropriate training classes.
Essential Functions:

Establish and maintain positive working relationships with HFC customers

Create foster caregiver pre-service rosters and ensure training materials and class supplies are stocked

Prepare and send out licensing background packets for families due for relicensing

Assist with training events and any other licensing support work as needed

Complete incoming phone inquiries about adoption and foster care, directing adoptive inquiries to the adoption unit, and processing potential foster families through the orientation process

Initiate and maintain background screening and tracking on foster families to ensure there is no lapse in screening dates

Assist with preparing mail and email correspondence to the foster home network as needed

Process monthly foster caregiver travel reimbursements

Data entry and tracking of potential and current foster caregiver backgrounds and children turning age 12 and age 18

Coordinating foster caregiver event registrations as needed

Assist with coordinating and collecting the Annual Rudolph Round-Up Toy Drive Wish Lists for children placed in foster homes as needed

Perform special projects as assigned
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Associates degree in a related field OR degree in any field with customer service, marketing, public relations, and child welfare experience is preferred. One-year experience in the child welfare system, marketing, public relations and customer service experience is preferred. Administrative organizational skills and computer literacy are essential. Excel proficiency is essential.
