Job Summary:
This is a professional position responsible for ensuring financial reporting and regulatory standards are followed for the utilization of funding from state and federal sources, including gifts and grants. This position has a key role in assisting with internal decisions and external audits based on the financial integrity of the financial statements.
Essential Functions:

Establish and maintain positive working relationships with HFC internal and external customers

Assist the CFO with monthly financial reports

Work with the resource specialist to reconcile master trust accounts

Prepare budget documents for annual submission to the Board of Directors

Assist the finance and contracts team in reconciling the general ledger to data systems
-
Create monthly and quarterly check requests for a variety of vendors
-
Participate in the annual single audit with the designated audit firm

Routinely analyze general ledger accounts for compliance with allowable expenses

Reconcile bank statements timely

Attend executive management team meetings to provide updates as required

Attend meetings to provide budget and finance updates as requested
-
Meet with contract to review quarterly reconciliation of contracts
-
Complete required reporting to ensure the contract deliverables are being met with the Department of Children and Families

Assist with special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting field required. Experience in not-for-profit accounting preferred. Microsoft excel required.
