Housing Specialist - Transition Age Youth

This position works collaboratively with transition age youth, life coaches and community resources to find housing options for transition age youth.

- Establish and maintain positive, trauma-informed working relationships with HFC staff and external customers, to include the homeless coalition, apartment/hotel managers, Housing Authorities, landlords, Life Coaches, and young adults.
- Maintain a tracking system of resources and space availability and residents who reside in the home
- Provide crisis support, when necessary, to locate an appropriate housing arrangement
- Research and interview Care Lords for new housing options
- Provide assistance to young adults with the completion of housing paperwork
- Follow up with living arrangement services as needed for the youth
- Participate in staffings/meetings with Case Management, Life Coaches, and young adults that involve housing for the 13-23-year-old population.
- Create and maintain documents that establish and agreement between the Carelord and the Organization.
- Perform special projects as assigned

Child welfare certification, experience working with teenagers and housing/resource development experience preferred.
