Adminstrative Support - Foster Home Licensing

  • Job Summary:

    This is a professional position responsible for assisting the foster care training and licensing department with administrative and clerical support.  This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service to prospective families who inquire about becoming an adoptive and/or a foster parent in Circuit 10 and ensuring they are registered for the appropriate training classes.    

  • Essential Functions:

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with HFC customers
    • Assist with coordinating foster caregiver pre-service trainings and training materials
    • Provide assistance with licensing packets, training events and any other licensing support work needed
    • Responsible for completing incoming phone inquiries about adoption and foster care and directing families appropriate to their strengths and interests
    • Ensure all foster caregiver contact information is kept up to date in database system
    • Prepare all mail and email correspondence to the foster home network as needed
    • Process monthly foster caregiver travel reimbursements
    • Data entry and tracking of potential and current foster caregiver information
    • Coordinating foster caregiver event registrations
    • Assist with coordinating and collecting the Annual Rudolph Round-Up Toy Drive Wish Lists for children placed in foster homes
    • Perform special projects as assigned

  • Qualifications Required:

    High School Diploma or GED equivalent required

  • Qualifications Preferred:

    Associate degree in a related field or one year experience in the child welfare system preferred.
