Community Resources
Community Resources help strengthen families and communities. Heartland for Children is now referring website visitors to the United Way of Central Florida for community resources.
Provider Network
HFC has developed and supports a provider network with the capacity to deliver a full array of in-home, community-based, and placement service options selected on the basis of child and family strengths and needs and based on coordinated assessments thus ensuring a comprehensive service array. HFC has two (2) types of provider:
Adoption
Heartland for Children is looking for families who are interested in becoming a forever family for children in the foster care system who are looking for adoptive homes.
Foster Care
Foster Parents are the heart of our community. Heartland for Children supports Foster Parenting and coordinates instruction, licensing, and support for potential, new and experienced Foster Families.
Relative and Non-Relative Caregivers
Community groups connect relative and non-relative caregivers to support and education to maintain stability in the home for children in protective care.
Behavior Analysis
The Circuit 10 Behavior Analysis Services Program administered by the University of Florida provides support and education to caregivers who parent children with challenging behaviors to promote success in the foster and relative/non-relative home.
