GAP Program
Devereux Kids Gap Project offers an orientation to Relative and Non-relative Caregivers who are experiencing a need for information and support during the first 30 days of a child being placed in the home. Devereux Kids seeks to reduce the incidences of failed relative and non relative placements by enhancing the efforts of Heartland for Children and the Department of Children and Families to create stable and nurturing home environments for children in protective care through education and support.
GAP Program's Orientation provides caregivers with information and assistance to apply for ACCESS benefits, school transfer and enrollment, child care, resources available in the community, and information on the judicial process.
