Pinwheels for Prevention
April is nationally recognized as Child Abuse Prevention Month. This year, we have joined efforts with Prevent Child Abuse Florida through the Pinwheels for Prevention campaign to help our community take an active role in preventing abuse before it ever happens in the first place. The campaign promotes healthy child development, positive parenting practices and community action.
Heartland for Children and partnering agencies are participating in Pinwheels for Prevention in the month of April by hosting local events, attending city proclamations, planting pinwheel gardens, and distributing information on healthy child development and community services for families.
